Classical Quechua (c. 1450 CE – 1800 CE) is a classical Quechua language. Lineage: Proto-Quechua → Proto-Quechua II → Classical Quechua.

The Inca-era and colonial lingua franca (lengua general), codified by Spanish grammarians and used in church texts such as those of the Third Council of Lima (1584). How it relates to modern varieties is debated, so it is shown here as a sister of them rather than their ancestor.
